Spam Policy

At GoSparkle, we believe that SPAM, or unsolicited e-mail, isn't a good thing. SPAM slows down servers and takes up valuable space on hard drives. However, we do not implement any spam blocking software or tools at the ISP level.

Why? Simply put, no software is perfect. No matter how advanced anti-spam software is, it will still detect "false positives" or e-mails that are not SPAM, but meet the criteria to be considered SPAM. We don't think that just because someone e-mails you from an Internet Service Provider that is known to have users that send SPAM you should not get the message.

It's true that SPAM is a problem on the internet, but you hold the ultimate power... the power of the delete key. If you don't want to read a piece of e-mail that you receive, simply delete it. Anti-spam software is available for purchase from your local computer store if you wish, but you will still run into problems with the software detecting false positives.

The simplest way to avoid receiving unsolicited e-mail is to not give out your e-mail address online to sites that don't have a clear privacy policy, or to anyone that you don't want to receive e-mail from.

If you are having a legitimate problem with unsolicited e-mail in your GoSparkle email account, please contact our Help Desk and we will be happy to change your e-mail address to give you a fresh start.

Notably, GoSparkle will not accept unsolicited e-mail sent from GoSparkle users to anyone else. This falls under our Terms of Service.
